Enhance and support Service Members, Veterans, First Responders and their family members through programs and services in a caring, safe, family-friendly environment
Heroes Night Out is a non-profit community based organization that is dedicated to providing resources and services to Veterans, Service Members and their families in a safe, family friendly environment; which is immersed with peers and battle buddies. Through this model of peer-to-peer interaction, Heroes Night Out is able to quickly address the unique situations that service members, veterans and military families experience by creating a trusting relationship more immediately.
Heroes Night Out offers a number of services and activities including peer-to-peer groups and activities, individual/family rehabilitative activities, an on-site Licensed Psychologist, a Counselor from the Vet Center, a Veteran Service Officer (claims/benefits), VA Loan Specialist and representatives from the Texas Workforce Commission.
Heroes Night Out hosts multiple weekly activities like our Donuts & Coffee twice a week, our Veterans Support Group and has a family room filled with toys and activities for veteran’s families to enjoy. Through these gatherings many veterans and service members find a new “family”, a job and an answer to some of their problems.

We offer many social events including the monthly Friday Peer Dinners & a Show, the annual Just Because Christmas Party and Thank-A- Vet, our Thanksgiving Dinner, as well as our highly attended Military Appreciation BBQ. About 4,000 Service Members, Veterans and family members attended our Annual Military Appreciation BBQ in 2017 and it is our largest event that connects new clients to the services at Heroes Night Out and other Veteran Service Organizations. All these events are offered at “no cost” or obligation for active military, veterans and their families.
During holidays, Heroes Night Out makes sure Veterans and their families have meals, Christmas gifts, and other holiday support. It is our goal to provide a military friendly environment, with volunteers and staff who understand the hardships our Heroes face. Our center offers a laid-back environment where Veterans can access many resources and connect with their Peers over a hot cup of coffee.
Beyond the services, events and resources Heroes Night Out provides, our big mission is outreach and fostering relationships with family, friends, and the integration from military to civilian life. We model ourselves around the idea of a supportive community and by healing all those affected by transition through positive encouragement, support and open doors.
